When it comes to focus, the odds are stacked against us. I’m not going to take the time to list out all of the distractions that we are faced with on a daily basis. You know what they are. Some are universal and some are unique to you. I for one can waste precious time avoiding a pressing task by surfing the web for jobs while I already have a dream job…or looking at real estate listings although I just purchased a home and I have no intentions of selling, buying, or moving. Some of these distractions become entrenched through habits formed while engaging in once meaningful tasks that no longer serve a productive purpose. Most have some desirable component to them that keeps us coming back.
